We recently tried Label Daddy and LOVE It!

Label Daddy is fantastic for getting my 6 year old’s property labeled.
We had to send clothes to school, the first day, for their lockers. I, of course, used Label Daddy to label Jacob’s clothes. There’s a mega clothing pack, and I was even able to label his undies. It’s so great to have a company that I can go to, and be able to know the labels are going to stick.
There are a lot of Labels to choose from. There’s the Clothing packet, School Pack, write on – wipe off labels, etc. Take a look on Label Daddy, to see what pack makes sense for you.
I received the Deluxe School Label Pack, and I have a few left, but I’ve labeled just about everything, including undies.

The bowls are great, with vacuum seal lids. They keep the food fresh for so much longer. And, the really cool thing, you save room in your cabinet, because the Instavac fit inside of each other. Not that mine will be in the cabinet very long. These are my “new” favorite Go To Bowls. You will love them too.

The Parents Guide to Baby Led Weaning

The Parents’ Guide to Baby-Led Weaning is a great book, and resource.
If you have a little one, you might be wondering when the little one can be weaned. According to the book, you can skip Purees all together and go straight to solid foods. I will be passing this book on to a friend, that is currently pregnant. She will appreciate knowing, what I didn’t know, 6 years ago.
There are recipes in The Parents’ Guide to Baby-Led Weaning that will make it easy to get your baby to eat solids, but 6 months.
Baby-led weaning means starting your baby on real table food from the start (at about 6 months old, depending on your baby) and skipping the purée stage completely. This means offering babies a selection of nutritious finger foods so they feel like they’re joining in on family meals. Baby-led weaning is especially popular with second children and beyond, because they’re so keen to mimic their older siblings.
Topics include:
• Tips for getting started with baby-led weaning, including signs of readiness
• Information on safe foods and progressing food sizes as your baby develops
• Strategies for dealing with food allergies
• Advice for vegetarian families
• Guidelines for modifying family meals
Even though my youngest is 6, I still read through The Parents’ Guide to Baby-Led Weaning, and got some great resources. As I said, my friend will be glad to get this book, and learn the things that I had no clue of. If I could go back, I would give my little one solids at an earlier age.

Crated With Love is the Perfect “Date Night” Go To

We, in our household, love the Crated With Love Subscription Box. It’s so great to get fun activities, to share with each other, on a monthly basis. And, having two kids, ages 20 & 6, this is perfect for us. The kids go for dinner, and we have “Date Night”.
This month, it all started with a Puzzle, then with a few other activities. The puzzle was quite challenging, but got us thinking. Which, once a month, we need this. It was a wonderful time, with my wonderful spouse.

You will really enjoy your date night, like we did. It gets you acquainted with each other again. And, finding Likes and Dislikes.
We’ve been together for 13 years, and Stephanie already had a young daughter when we met. Now we have a young son. So a date night, once a month, is a great thing. And we can trust Sarah to take care of her brother. We send them to dinner, and gramma’s house. Gramma loves that, but it gives us a few hours to get reacquainted with one another. And, once a month isn’t being selfish.
I can’t wait until our December box. We will be saving it for Christmas Eve, when the kids go to bed. It will be our Christmas gift to each other.
The Crated With Love Box has really made a significant, and positive, change in our relationship. It’s getting to know each other again!

My daughter is 20, and in her 3rd year of college, with 2 more to go. And, we are always happy to get Scholarships.
Now, I have a list of Scholarships I am able to share with you, my readers.

- Rocco Basile ~ The scholarship is meant to support students interested in building their future in a construction-related industry.
- John Jesensky ~ Must be either a high school senior or a college student currently enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. vocational, junior college, or four-year college/university
- Rusty Tweed ~ Who is eligible? High School Seniors, Graduating This Year. Or, College Students, already enrolled in College.
- Summit Shah ~ Who is eligible? High School Seniors, Graduating this year, and already accepted to college. Or, college Students already enrolled into a College.

I love working with Scholarship sites, because of my daughter being in college. She applies for a lot of Scholarships, and usually gets a couple. It’s not a waste of time. You are able to get scholarships too. Just apply yourself to getting them.
It beats paying that amount of student loans back. Trust me, I know. I didn’t know about scholarships, when I was in school. I have major student loan debt. Had I known about these, when I could’ve used them, I would’ve applied.

What Makes the Wait for Festive Season Exciting?

Every culture has its own type of festival and these festive moments bring in a lot of joy, happiness, and excitement in our lives. We know that these festivals come with holidays and that’s when lovely surprises in the form of gifts or trips can be planned with loved ones. Especially, those people who stay away from their family members make it a point to catch up with the loved ones during such festivals. Here are some of those common reasons which make our wait for the festive season a thrilling one.
Anticipation of great gifts: We all anticipate some kind of gifts from our loved ones and friends during important festivals like Diwali, Dusshera, Christmas, or Raksha Bandhan. Our mind keeps on thinking “what would be daddy’s Christmas gifts or brother’s Diwali gifts?” We drop hints on our loved ones about our choice of gifts and this is a lovely process. This unwrapping of gift packets gives all of us immense happiness and this anticipation keeps us thrilled for the upcoming festivities.
Dressing up: This point is for those who love the idea of shopping for new clothes. New clothes are important in preparing us for festive moments. We know that there would be gathering of friends and relatives in our home during festivals and we simply love this idea of dressing up. Those never ending make-up sessions with cousins or friends is a thrilling thing.
Food and Sweets: Everyone would agree to this fact that they really wait for the festival specific food and sweets for the rest of the year. The food and sweets seem to be tastier during the festive moments and may be it has got a lot to do with the gathering of loved ones under one roof. There are much love and happiness in sharing the same food and sweet with loved ones. The rum n raisin cake of Christmas or the Laddoo of Diwali or the Coconut Laddoo of Dusshera are a great way of bonding.
Sense of freedom: There is an inexplicable sense of freedom that works in our mind during festivals. For a child, this freedom from regular studies and tuitions is relieving and for an adult the freedom from board rooms and meetings is relaxing. There would be tensions and problems in all brackets of age but festivals make us forget everything negative or distressing and we enjoy a blissful time.
Shopping Day Out: Yes, online shopping have come up with new ideas of shopping and delivery but the idea of entering physically into a shop and buying desired products would never go away from our mindset. Buying gifts for Christmas or Lohri or Karva Chauth from local shops is a tedious job but there remains a lot of excitement in that. Going out for shopping for festivals means a full day out without cooking and any other domestic chores. Those home-makers who remain stuck in their home 24><7 finds relief in this idea of shopping.
