Revell Models are so great

My 6 year old has never built a model before, so when he received this Scooby Doo Bi Plane Plastic Model Kit, he was super excited. He and daddy sat down about 2 days after receiving and put it together. It’s so cute, and sitting in his room, right now.

They usually build stuff, but this was special, because it’s now Jacob’s to keep. I’m going to have to get another model, soon. Maybe Santa will bring one!

They will love the time spent together. Jacob’s daddy works so much, but he made sure to build this model with Jacob. It was great!

Grandbox for Grandparents this Holiday Season

We were recently able to share a Grandbox with Jacob’s, my 6 year old’s, grandparents. They loved it. Cute snacks, and a game. A game we had never played before, and Jacob was thrilled to play it with grandma.

It’s called Tenzy. Each player gets 10 dice, and the first person to get all the same number, wins. Jacob couldn’t wait to play, so grandma, of course, played it right away with him. There were also my mom’s favorite cookies in the box, along with cooked apples and a few other things. Including pictures of the family, having a good time.

Composer John Ross Jesensky

John Ross Jesensky is a wonderful composer. I have a newfound love for his music. My 6 year old even loves it. We listen to John Ross Jesensky for hours on end. While playing, Jacob has always loved listening to music, but this music is different from the pop/rock that Jacob has listened to. It’s more in depth, and calm.

There is so much information about John Ross Jesensky’s career, on the page listed above, and I find it intriguing.

From His Story:

It should be quite obvious that music is a central component of my life, and it has been that way for as long as I can remember. I have always been deeply interested in every aspect of music and composition, and I often find myself intently focused on those natural rhythms of life that so frequently pervade our subconscious. As a result, I have committed myself to the creation of music that both inspires and entertains. Read more here.

To His Music:

When I meet someone for the first time and they learn that music is my profession, one of the first questions I am asked relates to my musical influences. This is especially the case if someone has heard several of my compositions, as they tend to be quite unique and are sometimes difficult to label according to a genre or style of music. While I do have a number of traditional influences that I like to identify in response to this question, the truth is that I am constantly inundated with the music that exists all around us. I’ve always just listened to Pop music, so now, I’ve discovered John Jesensky, I’ve changed my taste in music. I love his music, and all of his work. This is great to start while my son is young. He will appreciate good music more.
