We really enjoyed our time at Cedar Point, this week. There’s so much to do, and our kids had a blast! We enjoy it, every time we visit Cedar Point. We stayed at Hotel Breakers, and enjoyed the beach, as well. The waves were high, but Jacob didn’t care, we went out in the lake, and had a good time. While Sarah, and my wife, sat on the beach to watch.
We started out slow, on the old time cars, and rode the train. We went to Forbidden Frontier and panned for gems, which the kids really loved! We walked and walked the park, until we couldn’t walk anymore. I went on the Maverick, with my daughter, which was a blast. The Gemini was another great ride. The Gate Keeper was fun too! Now I understand why Cedar Point is called, “The Roller Coaster Capital of the World”.
We sat and watched Vertical Impact, and it was amazing. Watching the dancers, athletes, and more. The show lasted about 25 minutes, and it gave us a break from walking through the park. My wife said her fitbit never saw so many steps!
We ate at Hugo’s, which is a little Italian restaurant that was fabulous. I had a Pepperoni Stromboli, and it was to die for. We even got special cups from a vendor, where we could get cheap refills our entire stay.
The beach was a blast, and all the fun games they had set up for Cedar Point Nights. The bands were excellent, too. We really enjoyed listening to the Rock Bands, which one played Jacob’s favorite song, “Living On A Prayer”. Listening to the music was great. We could even hear it in our hotel room.
You can’t stay at Cedar Point, without staying at Hotel Breakers. We really enjoyed our hotel stay, and ate at Perkins twice, and Starbucks, for coffee, as well. Domino’s delivered pizza to our room, in less than 20 minutes.

Kennywood is celebrating their 120th season, and I had to go check out the fun, from when I was a kid. My 7 year old, son, had a blast. He loved Noah’s Ark the most. A walk through attraction, at the park. I had forgotten how much fun Noah’s Ark was, til Jacob took our family through it. I can’t get over how Kennywood has changed through the years. I used to go there, when I was in High School, and now it seems different but the same, in so many ways.
Jacob also liked the bikes, in Kiddieland. We waited a while to ride them, but he had fun. All the rides in Kiddieland, Jacob enjoyed.
Thomas Town is the newest attraction, at Kennywood. It was packed in that section of the park. There’s a cute ride, for your child and you, that you can put out the fire in Thomas Town. There’s also the train ride, and a few others. My family really enjoyed themselves at Thomas Town, and the rest of the park.
Kennywood has always been my favorite place to go, in our area. The roller coasters are great, and the rides for the kids are cool too. Jacob enjoyed himself, as did my parents, wife and myself. It was so much fun, that we can’t wait to go back again.
Next year, the Steel Curtain will be their newest ride. Construction has already started, and we can’t wait to ride it.
This year, it was Phantom’s Revenge, the big ride. And, the Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt has always been one of my favorites.
You can even ride, or just get wet, on The Pittsburgh Plunge. Jacob loved standing there, as the boat went down, he’d jump back, so he wouldn’t get as wet, but he still got wet. We had so much fun, you can have that amount of fun too. And, if you can’t walk long distances, you can rent Kenny’s Kabanas, and sit there for a little while. Your family will know where to find you.
You can get discounted tickets through this link. And, you will have a fun time too.
We are actually sure that we are all getting season passes for next season. For Seniors (55+) it’s only $54.99. That’s a great value for my parents.

Kennywood Park, in Pittsburgh, PA had their Comic Con on June 18, 2017. As we walked in, we saw The Flash and Supergirl standing at a booth and didn’t hesitate to get our picture with them! As we walked through the park, we saw booths of comic books, jewelry, art, and much more! In one of the pavilions, artists were set up with art and jewelry. It was awesome getting to see and purchase some of the art. These artists were all very talented and each had a unique twist on the styles they drew in.
We went around the park and rode a lot of the rides, from the Jack Rabbit to the Merry Go Round. We made sure to play some games, too! The ping pong game was always my favorite, so I made sure to play that a lot!
We had some potato path fries for lunch and stopped at another booth to get some mac n cheese. The food has always been one of my favorite parts are Kennywood. It’s been a family favorite, for many years. My mom and dad were coming here a long time before me, and my family will come here for years to come, as well.
There’s always shows going on, throughout the day, as well. It’s so much fun going to an Amusement Park to watch a show, or two. We loved the time we had.
My mom and dad always take my 6 year old, brother, to Kiddieland. He loves it in there, and the rides are perfect for him. However, he’s getting big enough, that he can enjoy some of the other rides, throughout the park, as well.
They also have face painting, and other things. There’s a few gift shops, and lots of Rollercoasters. You will enjoy your day at Kennywood, just as I have.
